The JEI Evaluation Systems is composed of three types of tests:
The Diagnostic Test, Interim Test, and Achievement Test.
For each of the 13 levels of JEI Math and 10 levels of JEI English from JK to 9th grade, JEI uses a unique comprehensive computer test.
This test determines the student's weaknesses and strengths as well as the optimal starting point.
JEI creates an individualized learning program for each student that addresses his or her specific needs.
Student progress and understand of concepts are monitored.
Each JEI English or Math workbook has an interim test located at the end of the workbook.
Students complete the interim test the following week in class to ensure comprehension of the concepts before moving on to a new idea.
By passing the Interim Test, students are assured that they are on the right track in achieving their learning goals and objectives.
An Achievement Test is given when students complete the appropriate level of their individual learning program.
It determines whether a student needs further study on a particular concept or may progress to the next level.
Because JEI provides an Achievement Test at the end of each learning program, it is difficult for a student to move on to the next level without mastering the weak areas from the previous level.
